About Me

Hi. My name is Nada. It’s a joy to meet you.

I am a 26 year old award-winning journalist, digital communications expert, scholar, and nonprofit manager born in Omdurman, Sudan.

In May 2023, I graduated with my Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications from North Carolina Central University, and I graduated with my Master of Arts in Magazine, News, and Digital Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in December 2024.

Currently, I am employed as the Digital Infrastructure Coordinator for Southern Vision Alliance where they utilize my skills in digital communications, nonprofit management, web development, and multimedia reporting to support nonprofits across the South grow their digital infrastructure, increase their communications capacity, and better serve their communities.

Services I Offer

Digital communications

Press releases, social media management, video and audio production, expanding digital communications infrastructure, and front-end development are some of my strongest skills. 

multimedia journalism

My work has been published in a variety of local and statewide radio, tv, and news outlets. I am heavily experienced with investigative reporting work, feature writing, and copyediting.

website and graphic design

I have designed several graphics, logos, thumbnails, and websites for a variety of small businesses, nonprofits, and academic organizations.

nonprofit management

Over the last 7 years, I have worked for and with several nonprofits to manage their events, programs, communications, and digital infrastructure.

Work Experience

I have worked with a variety of different organizations inculding, but not limited to, PBS NC, WUNC – North Carolina Public Radio, Charlotte Pride, Southern Vision Alliance, IndyWeek, and Queen City Nerve.
